With specializations in ADHD (In Progress: ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider), trauma, arts-based interventions, child/family systems, anxiety and depression, I embrace a strengths-based approach. I work with clients to assist in their personal empowerment. A healthy mind/body/spirit connection based on one's personal values is the therapeutic goal. I believe in the client's ability to heal and recover, across all age demographics. I have practiced as a therapist since 2012, operating my private practice since 2014. All services are currently online or via telephone.
My work is a blend of modalities, including: Art-based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Humanistic Psychology, and Transpersonal Psychology.
I am an artist-therapist with a background in teaching.
I have worked with clients on issues such as: ADHD, grief, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, co-parenting, blended/separated families, adoption/fostering, learning/developmental issues, autism, peer relations/socialization, high intuitive sensitivities, as well as other topics.
My clients include children of all ages, families, couples, and adults.
I believe all clients, regardless of age, have the answers for healing within. Watching my clients step into this empowerment is something I never tire of and what keeps me in this wonderful profession. Concerning my clinical work, I do not adhere to only one therapeutic modality. Why? I find drawing from numerous models allows me to follow clients' leads, adapting my practice to individual needs. More information about the modalities I draw upon is found on my Therapeutic Background Page.
I hold my Masters of Education in Counselling, a Bachelor of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts. I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) and a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT).
